The biodiversity of the Park is very impressive, and includes fauna like Kashmir goats, sheep, guillemots, kittiwakes, razorbills, seagulls, ravens, little owls, peregrine falcons and silky wave butterflies. The headland has also been reported as the Northernmost known habitat for many southern species of spiders, such as the rare Segestria Bavarica.
There is plenty to do and see at The Great Orme Country Park. One can take a walk along the well-marked paths, explore the copper mines or have some refreshments at the different cafes. Over the years, the Park has been declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Special Area of Conservation and a Heritage Coast. It regularly organises guided walks for children and adults. The Great Orme Country Park is open every day, from Easter through to the end of October. Admission is free of charge.
